It’s that time again on September 25: at the FIRM Autumn Conference, representatives from practice and science will discuss current topics in risk management. The focus will be on geopolitical risks with presentations by Dr. Ludger Schuknecht, Vice-President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, as well as FIRM CEO Gerold Grasshoff and ING’s Chief Risk Officer in Germany, Nikolaus Maximilian Linaric.
Dr. Thomas Bley, Chief Risk Officer at Kenfo, will then provide insights into the financing of nuclear waste disposal. Prof. Dr. Christine Laudenbach will give an overview of her research project “Buy Now, Pay (Less) Later” and highlight the potential of private BNPL data for retail banking. Prof. Dr. Christina Bannier and Dr. Sebastian Rink present the final report on the FIRM research project “C-Strike”, which deals with the integration of climate risks into the credit process.
We are addressing the topic of “money laundering” in a special format. The coordinators of our Compliance Round Table, Felix Hildebrand and Illiana Hristova, discuss new perspectives on the prevention of money laundering in a panel consisting of bank representatives and consultants as well as an expert from the world of soccer clubs.
