THE ADVANTAGES OF MEMBERSHIP
The Association for Risk Management and Regulation e.V. is a platform for its members
- for the training of risk managers,
- to be part of a strong network in risk management and regulatory topics,
- to promote practice-oriented research and teaching,
- in order to effectively strengthen Frankfurt as a center of science,
- to represent a voice in the international regulatory discussion.
FOR MEMBERSHIP IN THE ASSOCIATION FOR RISK MANAGEMENT AND REGULATION E.V., FOUR TYPES ARE PRINCIPALLY PROVIDED:
REGULAR MEMBERSHIP
Regular members can be natural persons and legal entities. The membership fee for regular members is at least 10,000 euros per year. They are entitled to vote in the general meeting with one vote each.
PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
Premium members can be natural and legal persons. The membership fee for premium members is at least 20,000 euros per year.
FOUNDING MEMBERSHIP
Founding members can be natural persons and legal entities. They pay an increased additional contribution of at least 50,000 euros per year on top of the regular membership fee and receive one additional vote in the general meeting for each full 50,000 euros of the additional contribution – but a maximum of ten additional votes in total. The increased voting rights are also intended to give the founding members greater influence on the composition of the committees and thus on the objectives and tasks of the Institute as well as the teaching and research content.
SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP
Supporting members are not ordinary members. They have no voting rights in the general meeting, but may participate in it. In agreement with the Executive Board, supporting members shall pay their membership dues in kind or in the manner described below, instead of paying dues in cash. Services provided by supporting members may consist, in particular, in the guaranteed acceptance of teaching quotas, the funding of research projects, the organization of events such as conferences, the provision of speakers for teaching/events, or the provision of material resources. The services to be provided may change annually in consultation with the board. Any natural or legal person who agrees to support the goals of the Association may become a supporting member.
PERSONAL SUPPORTING MEMBERSHIP
Personal members can only be natural persons, they are not full members. They have no voting rights in the general meeting, but may participate in it. The membership fee for personal members is at least 400 euros per year. In justified cases, the Executive Board may set a lower contribution; the members shall be informed of this. Any natural person who agrees to support the objectives of the Association may become a personal member.
ALUMNI MEMBERSHIP
Alumni members of FIRM can only be students and graduates of the FIRM-sponsored Master of Finance programs of the Frankfurt School of Finance & Management and part-time Master in Finance of the Goethe Business School. They have no voting rights in the general meeting, but may participate in it. Students and graduates of the relevant programs can be free members of FIRM for one year. After the first free year, the alumni membership can be cancelled with immediate effect. For all subsequent years of membership, an annual membership fee of 50 euros is payable.
