Since the association was founded, FIRM has supported promising risk management research projects year after year. To date, almost 50 projects from various universities in Germany and other European countries have been accepted for funding. The funding volume is over 3 million euros, financed by contributions from FIRM members.
The tender for the 2024 funding has now been launched. This year, the range of topics was deliberately broad and, in addition to all traditional issues relating to risk management, regulation and compliance in the financial sector, including the impact on financial markets (macro analysis), also includes key areas that FIRM will be focusing on in 2024: ESG and climate risks in risk management, inflation risks and monetary policy, digitalization and cyber risks, modern forms of work.
