The Frankfurt Institute for Risk Management and Regulation (FIRM) has three new members on its Board of Directors: Stefanie Buchmann (Bankhaus Metzler), Andreas C. Heise (Deutsche Bank) and Marco Kreuter (State of Hesse) will join the management body in future. They will replace the current Board members Dr. Stephan Bredt (previously State of Hesse), Dr. Marco Schulmerich (Bankhaus Metzler) and Kay Wolf (previously Deutsche Bank), who are leaving the Board due to career changes.

“With Stefanie Buchmann, Andreas C. Heise and Marco Kreuter, we are gaining three experienced top managers and experts in their fields,” says FIRM CEO Gerold Grasshoff. The topic of cyber risks in particular will be one of the focal points of the FIRM Round Tables’ work in the coming months. Here Stefanie Buchmann will contribute her important experience from banking practice. Andreas C. Heise is a proven expert in liquidity risk management with global responsibility. As a representative of Deutsche Bank, he will assume the role of Deputy Chairman of the FIRM Management Board. Marco Kreuter will strengthen the cooperation between FIRM and various initiatives supported by the state of Hesse, in particular on the topics of sustainability/ESG as well as data infrastructure and cloud solutions for Europe.

Grasshoff thanks the three outgoing Board members for their intensive cooperation. He is looking forward to further exchanges within the FIRM network and in his new positions. Marco Schulmerich is now responsible for IT and Finance on the Metzler Management Board and is also in charge of the Group’s digitalization initiative. Kay Wolf has taken over as Chairman of the Management Board of Deutsche Pfandbriefbank. Dr. Stephan Bredt holds the position of Chief Operating Officer at the Deutsche Bundesbank.
